Asian Development Bank(ADB) assisted South Asia Sub-regional Economic Cooperation (SASEC) Road Connectivity Investment program (SRCIP) Tranche-1 Project “Construction of Imphal Kangchup Tamenglong Road” having a length of 103.020 Kms is being taken up as a State Sector Project with the funding pattern of 90:10 between ADB and Government of Manipur. The ADB’s share of the project shall come as 90% grant through Government of India.
The scopes of the project are: - (i) Widening and Strengthening to 4-Lane Highway for the portion Km 0.00 (Naoremthong) to Km 5.40(Lamsang) with drains & road furniture. (ii) Widening to Highway Double lane with paved shoulder from km 5.400(Lamsang) to Km 12.90(Kangchup Chingkhong) with drains & road furniture. (iii) Construction of Double Lane Highway from Km 12.90 (Kangchup) to Km 103.02(Tamenglong) with cross drainages, bridges, protection works & road furniture and (iv) Spur alignments to Haochong Village(4.15 Km) and Kabui Khullen Village (0.80 Km).
