The Ingourok Peace Camp initially relied on a single tubewell, without any treatment, to provide drinking water for its inmates. Considering the potential vulnerabilities of this single source, the health and safety of the inmates and the growing demand for potable water within the camp, it is proposed to construct a new water treatment plant on the hilltop with the Ingourok River as the source of raw water to ensure a more reliable and sustainable water supply. This will also require the construction of an intake and the setting up of a stage pumping system for delivering raw water to the treatment facility. As such this work, Construction of Water Supply Scheme for Ingourok Peace Camp at Ingourok is proposed for ensuring sufficient safe drinking water to the inmates.
